There are strong reasons why all clubs have offer deadlines with no refund policies. One of the reasons is to prevent club hoping after a commitment has been made. Players committing to a team must have confidence that others committing to the team are serious and will be part of the team. Clubs cannot form select teams and have players three weeks later ask for refunds because they want to join a different club's team. Or if a player decides to focus on a different sport. That would leave the committed players with possibly no team to play on.
Consider a U12 team with 12 players rostered after tryouts. In August 4 parents depart the team for another club. The team can no longer field enough players to compete fall season. The remaning 8 players are left without a team. They have committed. The club recognized 12 as a viable team roster and hired a coach for the year.
While clubs cannot force players to stay for their full year commitment, not reimbursing fees is standard practice in all clubs and necessary for the principle of commitment and a functioning team.
As stated in the registration agreement, The Club will reimburse those moving more than 30 miles away from the Club or those players who have a medical injury or condition that prohibits sport activity. Players receiving financial aid are not eligible for a refund.
