​At Pearland Soccer Club, we are committed to developing players at every stage of their journey—from their first touch to elite competition. Our Player Pathway provides a clear structure to help families understand the opportunities available as players grow in age, skill, and passion for the game.
⚽ Grassroots (Ages U4–U8): Building the Foundation
  • Soccer Starts at Home (U4–U5):
    Our youngest players begin their soccer journey through guided parent-child play designed to build motor skills, coordination, and a love for the game.    ​
🟦 Recreational Soccer (Ages U5–U16): Fun, Friendship, and LearningOpen to all players, our Recreational Soccer program provides a fun and supportive environment to learn the game, make friends, and enjoy healthy competition. It’s a great fit for players discovering their love for the game or playing for enjoyment without the time demands of competitive programs.
  • Available for ages U6–U16
  • Coached by volunteer parents with club support
  • Seasonal games and weekly practices
  • Emphasis on sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoyment
🌱 Foundation Phase (Ages U8–U12): Developing Passion & Skill
  • ​Super U8 & U8 Academy (U6–U8):
  • As players grow, they enter structured environments focused on ball mastery, small-sided games, and technical development.
  • Pre-NextUp (U9–U10):
    This transitional program introduces players to a more competitive format, emphasizing team play, technical growth, and game understanding. Competes in local STYSA leagues.
  • NextUp Academy (U9–U12):
    Our top-tier training program for younger players showing strong potential. NextUp Academy teams compete in high-level leagues such as the Players League and are prepared for the next phase of elite development.
🔵 Competitive Phase (Ages U13–U18): Challenging the Committed Player
​We offer multiple competitive pathways based on each player's aspirations and development level:
  • Select Competitive:
    Entry-level competitive teams that play in South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA) leagues.
  • Elite Competitive:
    Advanced teams competing in top regional leagues, including the Players League. Designed for players seeking a higher level of training and competition.
  • Premier Competitive:
    Our highest-performing competitive teams outside of NextUp Competitive. Teams compete in elite platforms such as the State Classic League (SCL) and the Players League.
🟢 NextUp Competitive (U13–U18): Our Premier Pathway to the Top
​NextUp Competitive is Pearland Soccer Club’s elite program designed for players aspiring to reach the highest levels of youth soccer.
  • Competing in ECNL and Regional ECNL Leagues,
  • Participating in the Houston Dynamo Partners in Development program,
  • Offering exposure to college recruiting and national-level competition.
